Craig M. Kahler

Craig M. Kahler serves as the Chair of the Board of Rimstock Holdings Limited. Craig is a Director, Private Equity, at Safanad and is based in New York. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing and executing growth, operational, and add-on acquisition strategies.

Prior to joining Safanad, he was a Portfolio Manager of Private Capital at Blue Mountain Capital, a global alternatives asset manager with more than $20 billion under management. Prior to joining BlueMountain, Craig was a Principal at H.I.G. Capital’s Middle Market buyout group in New York after having started in 2007 as a member of H.I.G’ s lower middle market buyout group in Miami.

Craig began his private equity career in 2003 at Willis Stein & Partners, a Chicago based middle market private equity firm with more than $3 billion under management. Prior to that, he was a member of the Global Energy and Chemicals team in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston where he worked on a variety of debt, equity and advisory assignments.

Craig holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A., magna cum laude, in International Politics & Economics and German from Middlebury College. Mr. Kahler is both a U.S. and Austrian citizen.


Ziad Dannaoui

Ziad Dannaoui

Ziad Dannaoui is Managing Partner and Head of the Investment Team at Safanad, and is responsible for executing Safanad’s private equity and real estate strategy.

Ziad is also a member of the Safanad Real Estate Board and is the Head of Investments for the Bahamdan Group with responsibility for a global investment portfolio of strategic assets across multiple sectors. Mr. Dannaoui focuses on thematic platform investments in private equity and real estate.

He was previously Managing Partner of Alem & Associates, Riyadh, and holds a LLM from the University of Arizona, and LLB in Law from the Holy Spirit University in Lebanon.


Jonathan Foster

Jonathan Foster

Jonathan has spent more than 25 years primarily as an investment banker and private equity investor at major firms focused on industrial and business services companies.

He also has significant Board of Directors and operating experience. Jon is Founder and a Managing Director of Current Capital, a private equity and management services firm.

He spent most of his investment banking career at Lazard, ultimately as a Managing Director, focused on mergers and acquisitions and financial sponsors.

In the automotive industry, Jon is a former director of TI Automotive and Stackpole International as well as currently a Director of Lear Corporation and Non-Executive Chairman of Chassix.


Glenn Mercer

Glenn Mercer

Mr. Mercer is a long-time student of the global automotive industry, having three decades of experience in automotive advisory work, including over 20 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was a leader of the Automotive Practice, participating in hundreds of client studies over that timeframe.

When he left McKinsey as a Partner in 2006, he established his own independent advisory service. In particular, he has been involved in dozens of due diligence processes over the years. In addition to project-based work for investment firms (e.g. KKR, Greenbriar, Kleiner Perkins), he has been an advisor to various industry entities (e.g. Ricardo PLC, the Automotive X Prize, Rocky Mountain Institute, Alliance Bernstein), a Board member for several automotive firms (e.g. Stackpole, Grakon, Tinnerman), an expert witness in automotive legal actions, and a lecturer on automotive economics in several academic settings (e.g. Case Western, Wharton, IMD).

He is a previous President of the Society of Automotive Analysts, and a former Director of the International Motor Vehicle Program. Mr. Mercer holds an AB from Dartmouth, an MA from Yale, and his MBA from the Tuck School of Business.

He lives with his wife Ida, a professional cellist, in the USA, although his work has taken him around the world, including extended tours of duty in the UK, Denmark, Italy, Japan, and elsewhere.


David Roberts

David Roberts

David Roberts has management experience running several mid-sized industrial/automotive businesses, and has partnered with high net worth individuals and a private equity firm in the past, to acquire and transform UK industrial businesses.

He has previous experience with U.K. OEM’s Aston Martin and Chrysler, and most recently he has led a paint manufacturing business (Trimite) and an industrial holding company (Arlington).
