GENERAL
Rimstock is a company of constant improvement and evolution, therefore
this list of applications is not exhaustive. If you cannot
find the application you require, please contact your nearest sales
office to obtain the up-to-date information. Almost all of the
wheels listed in this catalogue require the use of a fitting kit which
comprises of: 4 centre rings and 12. 16 or 20 wheel nuts or
bolts as appropriate.
Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained
herein. However, we cannot guarantee the vehicle details 100%. Therefore
we recommend that you follow the fitting instructions detailed within
this guide before fitting any tyres to your wheels.
1. DELIVERY
(a) Please check that the wheels are not damaged due to incorrect
handling.
(Any claims for damage or incorrect supply must be reported within
24 hours)
(b) Check that the wheels and fitting kits are complete and in accordance
with your order.
2. APPLICATION - BEFORE FITTING TYRES, ENSURE THAT:
(a) The wheels fit both the front and rear hubs without fouling
the suspension, bodywork or steering.
(b) There are no protrusion on the mounting face of the hub, i.e.
screws, rivets, retaining clips / washer or balance weights.
(c) The stud pattern (P.C.D) is correct.
(d) The contents of the fitting kit is correct and fits the vehicle
hubs correctly.
(e) The wheel brace fits correctly.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE STEPS
WILL INVALIDATE ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS
3. TYRE MOUNTING
Before fitting any tyre ensure the suitability of the
tyre. For the application including size, load capacity and inflation
pressure.
The tyre sizes given in this guide are only a suggestion, it is the
responsibility of the person fitting the tyres to ensure hat the correct
loading and inflation pressures are used.
The use of tyres with incorrect load rating or pressures may result
in damage to your alloy wheels and will invalidate our warranty.
(a) Ensure that the correct wheel and tyre combination is being
fitted to the application.
(b) Never put the wheels down on the styling side to avoid damage.
(c) Use tyre mounting equipment with a rotating head and upper bead
sear breaker that does not touch the wheel.
(d) Standard tyre lubricants must be used.
DO NOT USE MANUAL MOUNTING EQUIPMENT. DAMAGE TO WHEELS
CAUSED BY
TYRE FITTING MACHINES WILL INVALIDATE ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS.
4. BALANCING
(a) We advise the use of the back cone method of mounting the wheels
when balancing.
(b) It is recommended that self adhesive 'stick on' balance weights
are used. This will ensure the protective lacquer coating on the wheel
remains in tact.
5. WHEEL FITTING
(a) Check all of the clearances outlined in Section 2, when the
tyres have been fitted to the wheels.
(b) Ensure that the hubs, studs and mounting faces are clean and free
from burrs.
(c) Using the Fitting Kit appropriate to your vehicle, press the hub
centre ring (Spigot Ring) into the centre of the wheel according to
the instructions. Using the wheel nuts/bolts supplied in the Fitting
Kit, tighten them diagonally to the torque figure recommended in your
vehicle handbook.
(d) Do not damage the bolt holes when fitting the wheels.
(e) Tighten the nuts / bolts after 50 miles, and check at regular
intervals.
